Dear Viewer,
Since 1994, New Restoration Ministries Inter in Malawi has recently changed its name to New Restoration Plan due to its restructuring process. The change is necessitated to provide room for a broad spectrum of communities to have equitable access to its programs.
Over the years this organization has supported thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children in many different ways to alleviate poverty which causes suffering of rural and peri-urban communities. Capacities of hundreds of poor households have been improved, thousands of trees have been planted, food security has been re-enforced and safe water in few places has been provided. It has not been such easy without your support though pretty much easier with your support. Some day President George W.Bush of United States of America made a speech in which he said, “You are either with us or against us.” He was referring to the fight against terrorism. You can imagine a person dying of AIDS, a child dying of malnutrition, malaria and diarrhea, an orphan living hopelessly without proper care, forests being destroyed. We can give renewed hope to those who are suffering because of endless stream of poverty. When drought strikes, when pandemic occurs, and when hope for the poor seems to be distant, New Restoration Plan as the servant of those suffering has to be the poor’s last line of defense. Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of the Great Britain once said that his father taught him something, “that wealth should serve more than the worth, the good fortune should serve more than the fortunate, and that riches should not only reach some of our communities but all of our communities.” And these are all the values we all need today to wage a successful fight against poverty to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. History has now brought us all to a point where change is necessary: to build prosperity and not cement poverty. The rural mass needs to get out of the deepest end of living under poverty line and emerge to the surface waters of self-sufficiency as winners. In these unprecedented times we must educate our way out to the downturn. This is not just the blind optimism or synthetic confidence to console others; it is the practical affirmation of our times together for building a better future for all. Why can’t you join us today by giving support and uplift the living standard of the poor? Think twice! Thank you for choosing to contribute to our benevolent efforts to break tormenting circles of poverty. May God bless you and increase your source of funds.
Yours Sincerely,
George Wardon Chaima
